I've been working on guitars for 40 years. I'm 74 and thinning my projects from eight guitars to four. I chose this guitar to put a solid wood back on because Eastman uses scalloped bracing and put their main effort in the top/soundboard. I compliment that by adding a solid wood back. In this case Walnut for a nice mahogany sound that is a little brighter and maybe a little more percussive. Then I fine tune it by adding or subtracting mass to the back braces.
